Who is Escape Kitty?

Let me introduce myself. I am Escape Kitty.

I got my start on Sept 1, 2010 as I was out playing in the yard enjoying the birds and squirrels. Really just minding my own business. Happy. Content. Daydreaming.

When, but in an instant, I caught a movement in the corner of my eye. Since cats are noted for their superior vision, I had to do a double take because I thought my eyesight had failed me. I shut my kitty eyes for a moment and reopened them to disbelief.

A coyote? In MY yard? Could it be? And he's drooling my way? Move move move! Find my mom . Run to safety.

Big mistake! Really big mistake. Now she never lets me outside. Done - left to dream. ahhhhh but Kitty dreams really do come true.

So come follow me! I am off to Escape.

Escape KItty - Hats on Cats

Here is Escape Kitty with her new hat on.   It was created to play along with the Mad Hatter Hat challenge at the Flying Unicorns.

The pattern for the hat is on the Flying Unicorns thread.  That's where I obtained it - plus tons of really GREAT hats.

KItty said "I'm in" and off she went to riffle through my stuff - which is her stuff.  So technically I go through her  stuff when I create.  It gets complicated at my house.

AT any rate, I got some 7Dots Studio papers - The Queen's Heart Collection.  I used "It's Possible".   HOW appropriate.  With Kitty, all crazy things are possible.

The rest of the photos are close ups.  I used a mish-mash of generic flowers from my stash and a little piece of jewelry as an accent piece.

Thanks for looking.

Escape Kitty and the Easter Bunnies ( ZVA Creative and Authentique)

Easter is coming soon and Escape Kitty is pretty excited.  She's made a few sweet friends and decided that hanging around in the Easter grass would be fun. Nothin like a giant over-sized chocolate rabbit...till she overheard something  that startled her (not that she would ever eavesdrop).

"You say they eat the ears off first?"

Now for some reason, Kitty doesn't want to leave my warm safe comfy bed. My fearless Kitty.

These papers are the new Authentique "Hope" collection and are paired with ZVA Creative - great combo.
CRB-05CA-108 Soft Blue Crystal and Pearl  is featured below  on the left and CRX-05CB-140 Ice Blue Crystals/Soft Blue Pearl is below on the right.

Thanks for looking and peeking in on Kitty.  Big question...do YOU eat the ears off first?

Scraps of Elegance - March kit- Spring's Promise

Welcome to Scraps of Elegance's reveal of Spring's Promise.  Gorgeous, romantic and packed with unique surprises.  If you love chipboard, then this month's kit is a winner.

This was based on the design by Charlotte Jenkins for the Scraps of Elegance sketch of the month challenge.  She is an amazing sketch artist so I thank her for continued inspiration.

Escape Kitty is Chasing Butterflies
Seems that between two cats at my house, someone is always chasing butterflies.  This time it's little Miss.

Created for the CSI  Colors Stories Inspiration case file #61.  It's all about a dream, and Kitty's got tons of them. While she is chasing butterflies, she is dreaming of wings that can set her free to flutter about here and there.   But for today, she is happy in her yard.

Kitty's  Evidence:
Butterflies
Fabric in the form of burlap
Button

Kitty's Testimony:
Kitty's got tons of them. While she is chasing butterflies, she is dreaming of wings that can set her free to flutter about here and there.   But for today, she is happy in her yard.

Escape Kitty - Flower Delivery -CSI - Colors Stories Inspiration Case file 60

Escape Kitty - Flower Delivery

Escape Kitty has extended Valentines Day and the month of Love into March.  She's been very busy delivering roses and love letters to the doorstep of all her friends.  If you have not received your flower and letter yet, just hold tight.  You will.  Deliveries get a little backed up when momma doesn't let her out of the house often.

And just what does that love letter say?  Well, glad you asked.  These are words written straight from Kitty's heart and delivered with the assistance of Cupid ( you can see the letter tucked under the sweet cupid).

To My Dear Friend,
I am your biggest fan.  Well, actually I am your smallest fan.  But I love you in a big way.

Forever Love,
Escape Kitty

This was created for CSI Case file #60 with the color palette provided below.

Kitty's evidence:
1.  Circles placed around the page by inking the bottom of tea cups, etc.
2.  Beads ( they are mixed in with moulding paste "icing")
3.  Icing - represented here with the moulding paste as well as the frosting of the flowers like snow.

Kitty's Testimony:
Her love letter written to YOU.

I used the darling Blue Fern Studios chipboard Valentine Cupid here.  I slapped some Deco Art Snowtex on it to give it very rough texture.  Then I dabbed it with ink for some definition.

Here are the raw Blue Fern Studios -Valentine Cupids chipboard pieces.

In this photo, you can see the beads mixed with with the moulding paste.
