Flying Unicorns Kit for January

The Flying Unicorn kit for January is on fire and super hot this month with warm sunny papers from Prima and a whole lot of puuurfect embellishments.   

Kitty used some Prima resin birds from the kit on her project but then she realized they were dive bombing her head so she ran for cover in the flowers near the fence.    You cannot hid Kitty - we all see you. 

It is also warm and sunny where Kitty is.  Good thing because it is super cold and snowy at home.  No sitting outside in the sun.  No birds fluttering about.  Those sweet Prima flowers are replaced with snow drifts.  

So here you can see that Kitty used a Prima mask for some texture and then painted lines with some Splash of Color Silks.  These are simply wonderful glazes that have bright but somewhat transparent qualities.  I do trust Kitty with a paint brush as long as she cleans it up after.

The Blue Fern Chipboard fence has a pearly embossing coating.  I also painted some small bubblewrap with gesso in a cool technique move that Shona Keehn showed me.  Love it.  just a touch of texture here and there.

These sweet charms from Flying Unicorns were from the new Unicorns Mixed Art Kit....love that too but I used it before Kitty could get her paws on it.  hehehee
