Escape Kitty - Let Me In

Escape Kitty....as her name suggests, she's not one to stay inside if she has any say in the matter.  She'd like to be outside and exploring.   This is really the only time I can remember that she is actually begging to be let inside.

You see, Kitty went to a hoedown.  It was an all day event.  The wonderful day started outside, in the fresh air.   In an effort to party well into the night and dance up a storm,  silly Kitty decided a quick nap was in order to freshin up her step for a long night of fancy cat moves. As the day cooled down, the event moved inside - while Kitty was in dreamland.  She awoke and no one was around.

ohhhhh boy.  Big problem.  Pretty little paws don't allow for very loud knocking at the door.  With all the dancing, laughing and music playing inside, no one can hear Kitty knocking.

Not to worry though.  Kitty's creativity and experience in being sneaky pay off.  Plus her jumping skills came in handy.  There was a window open, allowing enough room for Kitty to elegantly and skillfully leap inside and find herself right on the dance floor.

Escape Kitty never missed a beat.  So giddyup if you want to meet up with her.  I do believe she's still dancing.

This design is based on the sketch by Charlotte Jenkins exclusively for Scraps of Darkness.

For this creation, Kitty used the Dusty Attic Leafy Stem #3 Small DA0581 and Bird House DA0699.

Scraps of Elegance Design Team Call

Term Date – December 2012- May 2013

Scraps of Elegance Kit Club is expanding our design team!

Do you enjoy working with the latest CHA releases, top of the line products and unique treasures?  Then this call is for you!

As a designer for Scraps of Elegance you will be working with our monthly kit and embellishments and any additional add ons you select.

Responsibilities Include

•  4 projects completed and ready for reveal day ( the 1^st of the month)
•  A minimum of at least one other project to be uploaded during the month and prior to the next monthly kit reveal
• 1 tutorial during your term
• Participation in our “Pandora’s Box” tutorial series, which is a step by step tutorial on how you created a layout
• Provide a question of the week on your assigned week
• Be an active presence in our forums, participate in at least one of our challenges, chat with our members and have fun!
• Check in daily with our design team forum
• All projects must be uploaded to specified galleries on dates established in our design team forum section
• You must maintain an active blog

What you will receive in return for your commitment

• You will receive the entire main kit and two additional add ons free of charge
• 50% discount on any additional add ons
• 30% discount in our store
•  Your bio and headshot on our site and you will be included in all Scraps of Elegance design team related promotions

Scraps of Darkness Kit Club - for the Alternative Scrapper is growing!

We are looking to add an Educator to our Design Team.

Do you enjoy working on the latest techniques, exploring mixed media and sharing your knowledge?  Then this call is for you!

As our Design Team Educator you will be working with our exclusive Color and Creativity Add On’s.

 Responsibilities Include-

•  2 technique based projects utilizing our Color and Creativity Add Ons per month
•  2 video tutorials to accompany the projects and available for viewing on YouTube
•  1 project must be completed along with the tutorial on reveal day (the 15^th of the month) and uploaded to you tube and galleries
•  1 project to be completed any time during the month with accompanied video
•  Respond to members requests for tutorials during the month, with tips, how to’s or step out tutorials
•  Be an active presence in our forums and check in daily in the design team forum
•  Participation in our blog hops

What you will receive in return for your commitment

•  The Main Monthly Kit
•  Our exclusive Color Add On

Escape Kitty Little Miss

Escape Kitty - Little Miss

This was created using the Scraps Of Elegance July kit. The kit featured the Bo Bunny Little Miss Collection, which Kitty took as being named for her. Typical of Kitty.   (eye roll)

So because Kitty thinks this is her own personal collection, she did it up big, all glam and girly here.  Maybe someday Kitty will have her own paper collection, but till then, we'll just keep this our little secret and let Kitty go right on thinking she's all that!  She just looks so happy, I couldn't bring myself to let her down.

shhhhhhhhh.  OK?

I made my own flowers, which I really do not do that often. 

And in the photo below, I decided to have a little more detail in my paper doily by adding some punching and some Flourish With A Bling gold centers.  I used the McGill Starburst punch for my pale green centers.

The bead spray is just something I picked up at a craft store in the floral dept. 

I also took some brown lace and covered green patterned paper which is from the Authentique Lively Collection.   Then I slapped a little molding paste over the top of the lace like frosting.

Escape Kitty's Birthday Celebration - Scraps of Elegance Oct Reveal - Dreams of You

Here is the magnificent, romantic and elegant October Scraps of Elegance kit.   These kits are packed with beauty and the most unique embellishments available.  

The sketch was created by Charlotte Jenkins, also known in the scrapping world as suepup.   Thanks a million , Charlotte, for continuing to inspire us.

Now on to Kitty....

Her birthday was Sept 1st.  We had a quiet day at home for her, with love and tuna flavored Meow Mix.  Great day for a cat, I'd say. 

But nooooooo.  Kitty wants to order a large sheet cake to serve a houseful of guests.  I reviewed the party list:

I did absolutely have to say NO to the moose from Alaska.  He can't fit through my door.
